Thread of the message « html 4.01 Transitional »
[Subject] Posted 03/11/2008 at 10:14 by jimmygyuma
I ran html validator on a page and got 1 error and 32 warnings.

The error was unknown Doctype. I followed the suggestion - Display Clips Doctypes html 4.01 transitional. And guess what? It entered a Doctype that was character for character an exact copy of the one I had.

All of the warnings were no '/' in meta tags and similar. That is simply wrong. html does not use '/' in these tags.

The page passed w3c validation.
