Thread of the message « javascript syntax highlighting »
[Subject] Posted 11/28/2007 at 14:55 by the dewd Down
Daniel,

This is a really good editor. I've been using it about a month now and I really like it. The only thing it lacks, IMHO, is syntax highlighting for javascript. If it had that it would be perfect! As it stands now, it's just a little shy of perfect but still very, very close!

Thanks for all your work and effort and for being nice enough to share it with us!

Also, as a thought, I got some other freeware from another developer online. He didn't ask for any money or recompense but he did put a link to his Amazon wish list. I went to his list and sent him a music CD he had selected. It allowed people to show their gratitude without any cash changing hands and without it being a business and it was all voluntary!!

Many Thanks

HAPedit doesn't support the syntax highlighting of JS within an HTML/ASP/PHP document.
But, it supports JS document as external file, with the syntax highlighting.
So to get syntax highlighting for JS, you should use .js files; I know, the best should be that HAPedit support .js file and .js within document.

I'm now working on such feature; at end an HTML document will highlight properly syntax of HTML, JavaScript and CSS; plus PHP or ASP, if the HTML source code is one of these languages.

Yes, this is a very nice.
Perhaps, I will do something like that; but at this time, I don't feel it; I can't explain why because I don't know...

Please, feel free using HAPedit
