Thread of the message « HTML validator »
[Subject] Posted 01/26/2005 at 03:56 by Zaphod Down
Hi, Daniel

I am wondering why is this doctype
<code>
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN">
</code>
valid when I validate it at W3C, while the HAPedit Tiny - Validator treats it as fatal error.

Best regards,
Zaphod

Hi Zaphod,

strange thing!
It was a time, the w3c required
[<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd">]

I will take a (new) look.

Thanks for your feedback.

Daniel
