HAPedit does not recognise .pl extention and thus does not highlight the file.
Under Options/Options/Files/extentions I can find Perl pages, but the field is disabled. What does it mean?

Not yet.

Perl is planned, but I have some trouble to develop the engine for perl syntax highlighting. I don't understand yet, all the "cogs" of this very powerful language.
Please, be patient.
