Blizzard Entertainment has answered the call for Classic+ with the introduction of the Season of Discovery (SoD) in WoW Classic. SoD represents a departure from the traditional expansion model, offering players an alternative route to experience fresh content within the realm of WoW Classic.
The rollout of SoD content is structured into several phases. SoD Phase 1 debuted on November 30, 2023, followed by the commencement of SoD Phase 2 on February 8, 2024. Looking ahead, SoD Phase 3 is slated to kick off in the spring of 2024. This guide will delve into what to expect with the release of SoD Phase 3 and provide a comprehensive overview of the Season of Discovery.
Release Date for SoD Phase 3
Blizzard has confirmed that SoD Phase 3 is scheduled to launch in the spring of 2024. While an exact release date has yet to be announced, it's been officially communicated that each phase of SoD will run for a minimum of one month but no longer than 3-4 months. Based on this timeframe, Phase 3 is anticipated to commence around May or June, with a possibility of starting as early as mid-April if Phase 2 follows a similar duration as Phase 1.

What’s New in SoD Phase 3?
SoD Phase 3 is set to introduce the following new content:
Level Cap Increase: Players will be able to advance their characters to level 50.
New Runes: Additional runes will be introduced, although the specifics remain undisclosed. Players can refer to the list of all WoW SoD runes for insights gathered through data mining.
Profession Enhancements: The professions level cap is expected to rise to level 300 (Artisan), although not officially confirmed yet. Moreover, profession specializations will become available, promising unique features at levels 50 and 60.
Raiding: A new raid designed for level 50 characters, speculated to be The Temple of Atal'Hakkar (Sunken Temple), will provide a 20-player challenge.

Reach at least Rank 3 in PvP to unlock benefits like a vendor discount and a cloak.
Maximize reputation with Arathi Basin faction.
Level main professions to 225, utilizing Waylaid Supplies for additional gains.
Invest gold in items to hedge against inflation.
Level First Aid and consider Cooking to 225.
Learn necessary weapon skills and acquire essential flight points.
By completing these tasks, characters will be poised for a strong start in SoD Phase 3.
